After my studie fashion on  the academie for Arts in Rotterdam, I started a traditional shoemaking course.  
Coincidently I got involved in the theater, helping designing costume and decor.

Remembering my placement at the polytechnic in Manchester, during my study fashion design in Rotterdam. I found my calling. Day after day I was drawing,  running excitedly between the several textile departments at the Polytechnic. Then I knew.
In 1993 I started at the Rietveld academie in Amsterdam in the direction of textiles, I graduated in 1996
A year after my graduation,  I started painting.
Now about 25 years later I  picked up print design again but now with the skills I developed during painting the past years.
